Skool collects member payments and sends your proceeds to your bank. As of September 2026, Skool is rolling out a new, faster payout system that no longer runs through Stripe, and it has said that system is reaching most countries. Payout availability and timing still depend on your country, your bank, and whether this is your first payout.

Country support changed during 2026, so confirm your own payout setup before opening a paid community. A country list from earlier in the year may no longer be accurate.

Current country situation

Skool's payout help article lists the new payout system as live for Colombia, India, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, and Costa Rica, with more regions added regularly, and Skool has said the faster payouts are reaching most countries. On the new system you receive money in your local currency with no conversion fee, and identity verification is mandatory. The payment FAQ still describes support for more than 150 countries overall, so the named list is the fast-payout set, not the full support matrix.

Check the payout screen for your own country and bank before you open a paid community. That is the safest way to confirm whether setup is available and what timing is shown for the account.

How payouts work

Skool processes member payments on its own merchant infrastructure and pays you out from there.
Older accounts connected payout details through Stripe Express, which is part of Skool's payment setup rather than a standalone Stripe account you control separately. The new payout system decouples Skool from Stripe.
Timing is in transition. Skool is rolling out faster payouts (it described one India payout as landing in about a minute), while the payment FAQ still describes payouts distributed every Wednesday, typical bank receipt of 1 to 3 business days for US accounts and 3 to 5 business days for international accounts, and a first payout that can take up to 14 days. Until the FAQ catches up, read the timing shown on your own payout screen.
Distribution and arrival are different events, so a scheduled payout is not a promise of same-day cash.

Billing and refunds

Subscription pricing in the payment FAQ was in USD.
Community owners decide whether to grant a member refund.
The FAQ said transaction fees were non-refundable, so a refund could still leave a fee cost.
Skool's payment terms article states that both plans are recurring subscriptions after a 14-day free trial.
Trial terms can change, so glance at the pricing page before you put the number on a sales page.

Best practice

Confirm that your country and bank are supported before announcing a paid launch.
Leave room in your launch budget for the first-payout delay.
Explain that a payout schedule does not guarantee the day money reaches the bank.
Keep your pricing and forecasts in the currency shown by the current payment setup.
Include non-refundable transaction fees when you design a refund promise.
Verify the current trial length before placing it on a sales page.
Treat country announcements as dated updates, not as a permanent global list.

Pitfalls

Do not promise same-day cash after a payout is sent.
Do not promise that every country can receive payouts.
If your account still shows a Stripe Express connection, do not describe it as a separate Stripe business account.
Do not forget the possible delay on the first payout.
Do not assume transaction fees return automatically with a refund.
Do not publish an unofficial trial length as Skool policy.
Do not mix platform payouts with community affiliate withdrawals.
