Skool Pricing
Skool offers a lower-cost Hobby plan and a higher-cost Pro plan with a lower standard transaction fee. For most community owners, the useful question is not which label sounds better, but which plan costs less at the revenue level they can reasonably expect.
The prices here are from September 2026. Skool can change them, so look at the live pricing page before you put a number on a sales page or make a plan decision.
Plan prices
As of September 2026, Skool listed Hobby at $9 per month and Pro at $99 per month. The pricing page summarized transaction fees as 10% for Hobby and 2.9% for Pro.
The payment FAQ added a fixed 30c fee to each transaction and a higher Pro percentage for larger charges. See Transaction Fees before comparing the plans.
What both plans included
Both plans include unlimited members, courses, videos, live calls, a custom URL, and an affiliate program. Skool's pricing page shows affiliates under both plans, while its help centre says the member affiliate feature is only available on Pro. Skool's own sources disagree, so check the specific feature you need before you rely on plan parity.
The pricing page called Pro a good choice, but that label is marketing copy rather than a reason to upgrade. Your expected paid volume should drive the decision.
Annual billing and trial
The official pricing page described yearly billing as “2 months free” but did not show an explicit annual dollar amount.
The pricing page describes a 14-day free trial. Skool's payment terms article says both plans are recurring subscriptions after a 14-day free trial, and that subscription fees are not refunded for a full or partial billing period.
How to choose
- Start with the current monthly prices.
- Add the exact fee for each expected payment.
- Include the different Pro rate for any high-ticket charges.
- Include refunds and member referral commissions.
- Compare the total expected monthly cost in Hobby Versus Pro.
- Choose Hobby while the lower fixed price saves more than Pro's lower fee.
- Choose Pro when steady fee savings are greater than its extra monthly cost.
Best practice
- Use Skool's pricing page for plan names, prices, and listed features.
- Use the payment FAQ for detailed fee math, currency, refund treatment, and charge limits.
- Keep the annual offer in Skool's own words unless a current official page gives the full annual charge.
- Confirm the trial terms before adding them to member-facing copy.
- Keep platform affiliate rewards separate from commissions inside your community.
- Look at the live pricing page whenever you plan a launch, update a calculator, or advise a client.
- Keep third-party valuation and revenue estimates out of plan facts.
Pitfalls
- Do not compare the plans from subscription price alone.
- Do not omit the fixed fee charged on each transaction.
- Do not overlook the higher Pro rate for large charges.
- Do not turn the “2 months free” wording from September 2026 into an annual price that Skool did not state.
- Do not present a third-party trial claim as official policy.
- Do not confuse Skool's platform affiliate program with referrals into your group.
- Do not describe a per-charge maximum as a fee cap or monthly revenue ceiling.
- Do not use outside valuation estimates as Skool financial disclosure.
- Do not assume a competitor's feature comparison is current.
