Community Classroom and Calendar

Community, Classroom, and Calendar are the heart of a Skool group. The feed gives members a place to talk, the classroom organizes what they learn, and the calendar gives them a reason to return at a known time.

What it is

These three areas work best as one member journey rather than three separate tabs. A useful post can lead to a lesson, a lesson can lead to a live session, and that session can bring the conversation back into the community.

How it works

• Community supports posts, comments, likes, rules, and moderation.
• Classroom supports courses, permissions, level locks, manual access, drip content, video, and course duplication.
• Calendar supports events, Skool Call, and Go Live.
• Points and levels can unlock selected courses.
• Growth, activity, and retention also matter to Discovery, so a clear learning and event rhythm can support more than content delivery.

Best practice

• Keep essential onboarding material open and easy to find.
• Use locked or dripped lessons only when the reason is clear to members.
• Connect events to a lesson, question, or member goal.
• Reward useful participation, not empty activity.
• Review duplicated courses before reusing them in another group, especially permissions and dates.

Pitfalls

• Too many courses can make the classroom feel like a storage shelf.
• Too many events can make the calendar feel demanding.
• Important onboarding content can disappear behind an accidental lock.
• A points system can encourage noise if members learn that quantity matters more than help.
