Localization and Languages

Skool can show its interface in 11 languages. As of September 2026, the official list is English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Traditional Chinese, Italian, Vietnamese, Turkish, Dutch, and Japanese.

Skool has said it is pausing language expansion for a while, so this list is likely to hold for some time. Still, check the language menu before promising a specific language or locale.

How it works

• By default, Skool follows your browser language when that language is supported.
• You can change it from the language icon when logged out, from the account menu when logged in, or in the mobile app under Profile Settings > Account > Language. Skool described that preference as persistent.
• The interface includes community pages, signup, and payment entry in the supported language paths shown during the rollout.
• Your posts, lessons, calls, and other community content are not translated automatically; the interface language changes, your content does not.
• Language support does not by itself prove support for a local currency, payment method, or payout country.

Captions and transcripts

Skool automatically generates closed captions in English for uploaded videos that have sound. A transcript is not generated automatically; you add one yourself as a page addendum, which makes the video searchable inside your group. It is not a translation of your content into other languages.

Best practice

1. Walk through the current interface in the language you plan to advertise.
2. Test the full journey from About page to signup, payment, confirmation, email, and community navigation.
3. Ask a native speaker to review important onboarding and purchase copy.
4. Write your own community and course content for the audience you serve.
5. Check Payouts And Billing and Skool Pricing separately for financial availability.

Pitfalls

• Outbound emails were still described as English-only at the start of the rollout.
• The Chinese option is Traditional Chinese and the Portuguese option is Brazilian Portuguese, so do not assume every regional variant.
• Skool's help centre documents closed captions in English only, and no automatic transcript, so do not promise native-language captions.
• A translated interface does not guarantee translated creator content.
• Currency, payment methods, and payouts are separate from interface language.
