Payouts
As of September 2026, Skool is rolling out a faster payout system that no longer runs through Stripe. Its payout help article lists that system as live for Colombia, India, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, and Costa Rica, with more regions added regularly, and Skool has said the faster payouts are reaching most countries. The payment FAQ still describes the older weekly Wednesday schedule, so treat timing as in transition. Check the current payout screen for your country, bank, timing, identity requirements, currency, and fees before you open a paid community or promise a payment date.
Set up creator payouts
- Confirm that your country and bank are supported.
- Complete the identity check (mandatory on the new payout system) and the bank verification shown in your account.
- Read the current settlement estimate for your location. On the new system you are paid in your local currency with no conversion fee.
- Allow extra time for the first payout and verification issues.
- Compare gross sales with the net amount after Transaction Fees.
- Test the full payment and access flow before a wider launch.
- Keep billing and payout responsibility with a named person.
Use Payouts And Billing for the broader money flow and Payments And Billing for plan, fee, refund, and checkout context.
Affiliate payouts
Community referrals used a 14-day last-touch window, and commissions stayed pending for 14 days while payment completion was confirmed. Eligible participants needed an active membership, identity verification, a verified bank account, and an age of at least 18. Group owners and admins could not refer other members to their own group.
The community-level affiliate instructions did not publish one universal commission percentage. Confirm the rate set for your group before you describe the offer to members.
Best practice
- Describe payout timing as an estimate, not a guarantee.
- Confirm country support before selling access.
- Keep identity and bank details out of shared notes.
- Explain the affiliate window and pending period before members promote the group.
- Keep platform affiliate terms separate from your community's referral terms.
Pitfalls
- Country coverage and settlement speed can change.
- Verification problems can delay a first payout.
- Refunds and non-refundable transaction fees can reduce the amount received.
- Chargebacks, taxes, failed-payout retries, and export behavior need a current check.
- Do not promise an affiliate percentage that your group has not set and confirmed.
