Use Admin Settings as a map for finding the right part of your Skool community. The exact controls can change, so confirm the current screen before making a change that affects access, money, moderation, or automation.

What it covers

• Skool 101 introduces the platform.
• Payments and Billing cover membership charges, payouts, fees, cancellations, and invoices.
• Roles and Admins cover owners, admins, moderators, and billing managers.
• Community covers categories, rules, and moderation.
• Classroom covers courses and ways to unlock them.
• Calendar covers events, Skool Call, and Go Live.
• Leaderboards cover gamification, levels, and points.
• Discovery covers categories, ranking, and visibility.

How to find the right setting

Start with the member-facing result. If the change affects who can do something, open Members And Roles. If it changes categories, rules, or member safety, use Community Setup and Moderation And Anti Spam.

Course access belongs with Classroom Course Structure. Events belong with Calendar And Events. Points and unlocks belong with Points Levels And Leaderboards. Discovery visibility belongs with Discovery Setup. Payments and payouts belong with Payments And Billing and Payouts.

For integrations, use Zapier And Webhooks. Confirm the plan, identify the group, and assign an owner before you connect a third-party app.

Best practice

1. Write down what should change and who will notice it.
2. Confirm the role allowed to make the change.
3. Take note of the old value so you can reverse a mistake.
4. Test member access and communication after the change.
5. Keep secret keys and private member information out of shared notes.
6. Review the setting again after a plan or ownership change.

Pitfalls

• Member account settings are different from group admin settings.
• A category list does not provide a complete permission matrix.
• Plugin changes can affect automations outside Skool.
• Billing and payout controls deserve a second-person review.
• A settings label may move as the product changes.
